Privacy policy
Tidelle — period & cycle tracker · Effective 5 October 2026
The short version
Tidelle does not collect any data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. Everything you enter stays on your phone, inside the app. We — the developer — never receive it and cannot see it.
Who is responsible
Patrick Schad, c/o IP-Management #10838, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18, 20459 Hamburg, Germany · hi@tidelle.app. Full details in the Impressum.
What the app stores, and where
- Your entries — period days, symptoms, moods, notes, temperatures and other signs you choose to log, and your settings — are stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage.
- They are excluded from cloud and device-to-device backups (Android: backup disabled; iOS: excluded from iCloud and computer backups), so they don’t leave your phone that way either.
- On Android, the app does not hold the internet permission at all.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything. Settings › Privacy › Delete all data does the same without uninstalling.
When data leaves your phone — only when you do it
- Backups and exports. If you save a backup, a CSV or the PDF report, or switch on automatic backup, the file goes where you choose (a folder, a drive, a message). If that location syncs to a cloud service, that service’s privacy terms apply to the file.
- Import. Files you import from other apps are read on your device and not sent anywhere.
- Email. If you send feedback from the app, your email app opens a message to us with the app version and phone model filled in. You see it before sending; we use it only to answer you.
Purchases
Tidelle Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We don’t receive your payment details. The app only learns from the store whether Pro is unlocked on your account.
Notifications, app lock and widget
Reminders are local notifications created on your phone. The app lock uses your phone’s own face, fingerprint or screen lock; Tidelle never sees biometric data. While the app lock is on, notifications and the widget stay neutral and show nothing about your cycle.
Health data
Cycle and symptom data is sensitive health data. Because it never leaves your device and we never receive it, we do not process it. Tidelle does not read from or write to Apple Health or Health Connect.
Children
Tidelle is meant for people who menstruate, including teenagers. It collects no data from anyone of any age.
This website
tidelle.app sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts or fonts and uses no analytics. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) processes technical access data such as IP addresses briefly to deliver the pages and protect against abuse (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your browser’s language setting decides which language you see; nothing is stored.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Since we hold no personal data about you from the app, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete — you are in full control of it on your phone. Questions: hi@tidelle.app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date. The English version is the binding one.
